There are many places to party at in Singapore that is for sure so picking your favorite location can be a bit tough sometimes, but for me it has to be Orchard Towers and I say this for several different reason.
First off you have server places that open by 11 and have cheap beer, $5 to $6. So that makes it a great place to start your day. While there is not much happing in the towers during the day you can still meet up with friends with out being distracted by other people like you will be at night.
Second is the Varity of different places to visit. You have Top 5 which is a disco and the largest place in the towers. There you have stage shows and a big dance floor. Then you have your smaller disco’s like Ipanema, Bongo Bar, Naught girl, Queens and Blue Banana with 3 of them have live music to dance to and the bands are pretty good too.
Your next level of entertainment comes from the smaller bars like Country Jamboree, Downunder, Rendouves, Passion, Eureka, Peyton Place, Bi-li-ba and Football pub and the last two if you want something a bit different would be Crazy Horse and Club Romeo.
Each place has it own style inside so you can spend a night in the towers enjoying the different mix and atmospheres of each place and don’t forget you have until 4 to 9am to enjoy some of the bars so there is plenty of time to check them out. All the clubs with live music have pole dancers to entertain you between sets so you always have something to watch while enjoy your drinks and or new found friend. Some places are like a normal pub you would find anywhere in world, you have you buy-me-drinks bars, large and small discos. In some clubs the girls are more aggressive while in others it is more like a normal bar where you would meet girls, the meat market kind of club. You’ll find R&B, hip hop, country and top 40 music to listen to. Like I said, what every you want you can find it there.
Which brings me to the women of Orchard Towers; In my other section I think I have covered that enough but one point I did want to bring up about the different girls in the towers is that as long as I have been going there to party I have yet to meet a China girl there which I find strange seeing how there are so many china girls working the streets in the Geylang area and for a fraction of what they could make in the towers!
While language could be a problem most of the PRC girls know enough to get their point across to you and to close the deal. Understandably OT is mostly an Expats place but you still see enough local guys there to take up the slack in the language department and to be honest I think the PRC girls in Geylang look much better then most of the girls presently in the towers over all, this can also apply to the Vietnamese girls of Joo Chiat and Geylang Road too.
What every kind of entertainment you are seeking OT will provide it for you that is the bottom line. Orchard Towers is a great place to enjoy the night and have some drinks, take in the site of all the different girls, guys and he-shes that you’ll see coming and going, at least for me that is!

Being a newcomer to SG how do I get to Geylang
say from Orchard Road? Is it possible for me to
catch a train or cab? Any help offered would be

from orchard you can get there by cab which would be the easiest for you. but since the crack down on the area 95% of the street girls are gone leaving you with only the houses to visit now.
the MRT is about about a 5 min walk from the aljunit station (wrong spelling - second stop after you come out of the tunnel)

Not that I know of. The Geylang area is the only place I know of where out side the area around Orchard Towers (both side of the street) where you will find girls on the street. If you know what to look for you can find working girls all over orchard road at night. trust me on this i and severals i has seen then there.

In regards to your OT report from July 2009 on visiting U.S. Navy ship personnel being allowed back in OT, is that still the case? Thanks for your great info on Singapore.
Chris - From what i can tell this is the still the case but at the same time it seen up to the Captain of the ship / group too. I am not there to much my hear from my friends that fleet is in OT. Also guy and girls end up leaving by about 9 or 10pm as the bulk of the girls start to arrive. With OT being a know place of Prostitution like Geylang it should be off limits. The great part of OT is if you are looking for girl you really don’t even to go inside now a days since the are all over the street in the area standing or sitting on the benches on either side of the street just so you know!

Thanks for the information. I was stationed in SEMBAWANG many many years ago and loved OT. I still like to get out in Sing and hit up OT. I am getting ready to retire this Fall and my ship is to be in Sing in a few weeks and hoping to hit OT one more time if not Off Limits. How about Lucky Plaza, what about the girls there. I still have a thing for the Filipina’s. I know they are all over OT in Peyton’s Place but if OT off-limits I hope somewhere in Sing to pick up Filipina’s. Again, great website and full of good info. i have been in OT on a few (6-7) of occasions during fall and i have seen US Navy personnel there on 3 or 4 of those visits - hard to not notice drunk, boisterous 18-23 year olds with regulation hair cuts! Seemed like they were in and out in most clubs. USN also provided Shore Leave patrols which did indeed make their rounds into OT. For Pinays - check out Ipanema as well
