As we develop our drinking skills we all fall into different categories or party groups as I like to call them. So with that in mind with would not apply to young partiers say between 18 and 25 years of age in most cases. While these groups can apply to all ages I’m looking at the older people since they have the life experience and will surely fall into one of groups listed. So one person can really fit in several groups? If you are like me you have been in each one of them at one point or another. The point is at some level you stop and don’t go higher or lower which every way you look at these scale.

It took me a while to get going in the party scene but once I got started I never looked back and never regretted anything, there is nothing I would change. Sure I would be a lot richer if I had save all the money I spent on my beers, ladies drinks and other service providers but you know what? When I grow old and look back on my life all I do is smile and say, “god damn I had a great time!” So if you see me some time and I have a smile on my face, chances are I am thinking about my past because I have to smile about! How about you?

1. The responsible partier:

This person will go out with friends or co-workers to have a few drinks after work then head home for the night to take care of more important matter. They usually leave the bars as soon as happy hour is over to save money. They will buy rounds for the others but they keep it under control at all times and make it know they have to be going and can’t spend too much. They rarely if ever go out on their own to bars. What could Happen: not to much really since they are usually pretty grounded in their way and not really risk takers. Most have other responsibilities to take care with family which keeps them focused on what is important. Approaching member of the opposite sex: not to often if ever.

2. The weekenders:

Come Friday after work its happy hour time with gang in their favorite bar to hang out and relax from the weeks work. Rounds are no problem to them to get and will often get the first round to start things off. They will move on to other places with the gang to keep the party going and enjoy the nights good times. Money is not that much of as issue until Monday when they realize how much they did spent. What could Happen: almost anything with in limits? While they enjoy their time out on the weekends there are other things they still want to do but if the right opportunity should come a long they will “go for it”. Approaching member of the opposite sex: sure it’s the weekend!

3. The single Partier:

Doesn’t matter what day it is or if they are alone or with friends, when the mood hit them out they go. They move from place to place checking out the action in the each place, they mostly hitting the more well know places where the hip crowds are at. If they meet someone in the bar money is not an issue at all and they will stay around as long as things are looking good for the night. Usually heading home after the bar closes or around 1 or 2am. What could Happen: they are looking for stuff to happen so just about anything goes with them and the best part is no will know! Approaching member of the opposite sex: If conditions like right that will give it a shot.

4. The loaner:

Like the Single partier the difference is that they tend to hit the smaller pubs. They are just out to kill time and will mostly stay to themselves but are friendly if approached. Money is not an issue since they are alone. No set time for them to head home just depends on the nights events and what they find. What could happen: with the loaner you never know because sometimes they prefer to be out on their own and since they hit smaller places and what happens that night on one has a clue since they tend to keep their party life very private. Approaching member of the opposite sex: no but if approached they will respond.

5. The creeper:

Has to seek out to have a good time with the gang but once they are out stand by for a great time. Like the single partier they too are happy as hell to be out of the hell they just came from. They want to get as much out of the night as they can since they never know when they will get out again. What could happen: Just about anything and everything could happen! Approaching member of the opposite sex: Oh hell yeah time is short and not to be wasted so they approach a lot in an evening.

6. The tag-a-long:

Like to party but needs others to go with. Money is not an issue since they are just happy to be out in the bar. Can be a bit shy around new people but still a lot of fun. You can find them out any day of the week but when other head home so do they. What could happen: well that depends on their friends and what they want to do since they will follow the gang. Approaching member of the opposite sex: Only if something really special comes along.

7. The Massive Party Hound:

Any day of the week is fine with them. Not shy or inhibited they are self confident know what they want. Money, what am I working for if not to enjoy it? In a group or alone they never stop, rounds never a problem and usually buy most of them or will pick up the tab at the end before moving to the next bar. Not shy to meet new people or try new things and often hit the places where new friends can be found. Tend to over spend but never worries about it since payday is coming soon. After the normal club closes they know where the late night bars are at and head there or out of other activities that the night has to offer. Well know in most bars and the life of the party. They reach home in time to get a few hours sleep, shower and head to work in the morning. This can go on for weeks like this until the body give out and they end up sleeping the weekend away before starting all over again. What could happen: the imagination can not conceive with could happen because there are no limits with this group and what they will do. No place and no person are safe. While others are heading home they are just getting warmed up and know all kinds of places to get into trouble at. Actions others would call crazy they call child’s play. Approaching member of the opposite sex: all the time and if they can’t find some one they rent them! Either way, some one is giving it up tonight!
